Lenses and protection

Are Havaners sunglasses polarised?

Every round and Wayfarer-style pair has polarised lenses to cut reflected glare. Our metal aviators (Miami, Malibu and Shadow) have non-polarised lenses, which keep phone and sat nav screens easy to read. Each product page shows the lens type, or browse all our polarised sunglasses.

What does UV400 mean?

UV400 lenses block ultraviolet light up to 400 nanometres, which covers both UVA and UVB rays. Every pair of Havaners sunglasses has UV400 protection. Our guide on what UV400 means goes into more detail.

Is polarised the same as UV400?

No. UV400 protects your eyes from UV rays. Polarisation cuts glare so you see more clearly. A lens can have one, both or neither. All our polarised sunglasses have both.

What is Aura8™?

Aura8™ is our best lens, offered as an upgrade on the product page. It adds next-level clarity and depth on top of polarised glare cutting and full UV protection.

Are polarised sunglasses good for driving?

Yes. They cut glare from wet roads and windscreens, which helps a lot in low winter sun. Some dashboard and phone screens can look darker through polarised lenses at certain angles, which is normal. Read our guide to sunglasses for driving.

Style and fit

Are Havaners sunglasses unisex?

Yes. Every frame is designed to be worn by anyone. Our men's and women's collections are just edits to make browsing easier.

Which sunglasses suit my face shape?

Round frames suit square and angular faces, Wayfarer-style frames add structure to round and oval faces, and aviators work on most faces. Take our sunglasses finder or read our face shape guide.

How should sunglasses fit?

They should sit level, feel secure without pinching and stay clear of your cheeks. Our sunglasses fit guide explains sizes and what to look for.

Orders and delivery

Is delivery free?

UK delivery is free on every order, with Express delivery as standard. International delivery is tracked and starts from £9.99. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.

When will my order ship?

UK orders placed before 3pm, Monday to Friday, are dispatched the same day. Orders after 3pm, at weekends or on bank holidays go out the next working day.

Do you deliver outside the UK?

Yes, worldwide, with tracking on every order. It costs £9.99 for one pair, £13.99 for two, £16.99 for three and £19.99 for four or more.

Will I pay customs or import fees?

UK orders never have import charges. Outside the UK, your country may charge duties or taxes on delivery, which are paid by the recipient.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Email sales@havaners.com as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee changes once an order has been dispatched, but you can still return it.

Returns and guarantee

Can I return my sunglasses?

Yes. You have 30 days from delivery to return any unworn pair in its original packaging for a refund. See our Refund Policy.

How long do refunds take?

Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 working days. Your bank may take a few extra days to show it.

What does the Lifetime Guarantee cover?

Manufacturing faults and accidental damage during normal use. It does not cover lens scratches, wear and tear, loss or theft. Full details are on our Lifetime Guarantee page.

Care

How do I clean my sunglasses?

Rinse off sand or salt with cool water first, then dry with a clean microfibre cloth. Avoid paper towels, clothing and household cleaners. Our sunglasses care guide has more tips.
