Sunglasses Care Guide

A little care goes a long way. Follow these simple steps to keep your Havaners sunglasses looking good and your lenses clear.

Keep them in a case

When you are not wearing your sunglasses, store them in a protective case. This helps prevent scratches, bent arms and accidental damage in bags or pockets.

Rinse off sand and salt first

If you have been at the beach or around salt water, rinse the sunglasses with clean fresh water before wiping them. Tiny grains of sand can scratch lenses if they are rubbed across the surface.

Use a clean microfibre cloth

Use a clean lens or microfibre cloth rather than clothing, paper towels or tissues. If the lenses are particularly dirty, use lukewarm water and a small amount of mild soap, then rinse and dry carefully.

Avoid excessive heat

Do not leave sunglasses on a hot dashboard or expose them to excessive heat for long periods. High temperatures can affect frames and lens coatings.

Use both hands

Putting sunglasses on and taking them off with both hands helps reduce unnecessary pressure on the hinges and keeps the frame sitting correctly.
