What our frames are made of

Every Havaners Wayfarer-style and round frame is made using recycled ocean plastic. That covers the translucent colours like H20, Turtle Bay and Sunset, the classics like Phantom and Inferno, and our rounds, Equinox, Sahara and Oceano.

Our aviators, Miami, Malibu and Shadow, have slim metal frames, so they aren't made from recycled plastic. We'd rather tell you that straight than pretend otherwise.

Why it matters to us

We make sunglasses for the beach as much as the street. Plastic waste ends up in the same seas we swim, surf and paddle in, and using recycled material means less new plastic made in the first place. It's one small part of a big problem, and it's the part we can do something about.

The greenest pair is the one you keep

Recycled material is a good start, but the biggest difference is keeping a pair in use for years instead of replacing it every summer.
